Asmodee keeps on growing. According to Polygon, it recently it purchased the games catalogue of Mayfair Games. If you know anything about board gaming, then you know that Mayfair is the publisher of Catan.But that's not all. Asmodee has also purchased Lookout Games. Its stable includes Agricola. So that's two of the biggest names in board gaming that are now settled underneath the Asmodee banner.What this is going to mean for digital distribution of Catan moving forwards isn't clear yet.There've been a number of different Settlers of Catan games out on mobile, from a variety of developers and publishers, but this could see Asmodee Digital bringing them all into the same wheelhouse. The Donkey Kong Land trilogy are bound for the 3DS Virtual Console as part of the Donkey Kong Country Weeks promotion Nintendo will be running from October 16.While Donkey Kong Land is a spin-off sequel of sorts to the original Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong Land 2 and Donkey Kong Land III follow their SNES counterparts much more closely.Donkey Kong Land will hit the eShop on October 16, with Donkey Kong Land 2 and Donkey Kong Land III following on October 23 and October 30 respectively.The Japan-exclusive Game Boy Color upgrade of Donkey Kong Land III, Donkey Kong GB: Dinky Kong & Dixie Kong was released on the Japanese 3DS Virtual Console earlier this year, but no word has been given as to which version will be released in the West.The Game Boy Color re-engineering of the SNES classic Donkey Kong Country won't be hitting the Virtual Console alongside these spin-offs, but there's still hope yet....
